Buc-ee's Grand Opening June 2026 Goodyear, AZ

I saw in the Phoenix Business Journal that Buc-ee’s will open its first Arizona store in Goodyear in June 2026, featuring a massive 74,000-square-foot building with 120 fueling stations and operating 24/7. The project is under construction on Bullard Avenue just south of I-10 and is part of a broader wave of high-profile retail and commercial development in Goodyear’s growing West Valley area.

Store Details

The Goodyear Buc-ee’s will create about 200 new full-time jobs, with benefits including three weeks of paid vacation, a 6% 401(k) match, and starting pay described as well above minimum wage. The company is bringing its typical offerings, such as Texas-style barbecue, homemade fudge, a large jerky selection, extensive snacks and drinks, and branded apparel, along with its signature emphasis on very clean restrooms.

Site and Investment

Buc-ee’s bought the roughly 22-acre site in May 2024 for about $17.24 million and broke ground on construction in May 2025. The property sits next to other significant projects, including a nearly 700,000-square-foot, $100 million business park being developed by Dallas-based Formation Interests with office, industrial, and commercial space.

Goodyear, AZ Growth Context

Goodyear and other West Valley cities are actively competing to attract specialty retailers as their populations expand, and Buc-ee’s is one of several recent wins. Nearby, Trader Joe’s opened its first Goodyear location on Nov. 7 at the GSQ downtown center after a year long city campaign, drawing large crowds on opening day.
