Barrett-Jackson Entrance at WestWorld

Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction is one of the largest annual events held in Scottsdale, AZ.  The auction is typically held in mid-January at WestWorld.  However, due to COVID-19, Barrett-Jackson delayed their return to the valley until March 20-27, 2021.  The annual event draws more than 300,000 guests over 9 days with a peak of 350,000 in 2016.

If you don’t live in the greater Phoenix area, you may be familiar with Barrett-Jackson by watching it on TV.  In addition to TV coverage, Barrett-Jackson will be streaming live from their website.

The largest attraction are the cars.  There is no doubt about it.  Attendees can walk around and check out all the cars that will be auctioned off during the event.  I highly recommend going before the actual auctions begin to make sure we can see as many of the cars as possible.

Obviously, this event is geared towards to car collector, but it is more than that.  It is a family friendly event that can be enjoyed by all ages.  Usually, the first day is “Family Day”.  Family Day includes free kids’ admission with the purchase of an adult ticket.

In addition to the cars, you will find vendors selling car related items, jewelry, cowboy hats, and art.  With all of the walking around you will do, there is also plenty of food options.  Some of the vendors include Chick-fil-A, Hot Bamboo AZ, Outlaw Grill, and Mama’s Dogs.
